The assumptions behind the numbers
- Weight matters most. A board flexes according to the load on it, so the calculator weights your body weight more heavily than your height.
- Style and ability shift the range. Freestyle riders and beginners usually go a little shorter; powder and carving riders a little longer.
- Width follows your boots. Bigger feet need wider boards to avoid toe and heel drag; the calculator converts your boot size to US men’s to check this.
